The Senior Application Engineer for Additive Manufacturing will be responsible for owning the full product lifecycle for internal and external customer projects running through the Winston Salem Additive Manufacturing facility. As part of a lean team operating with a start up mentality this role can expect to be involved in all aspects of the business from developing technical solutions for AM in the sales phase, all the way through to hands on project realization and delivery of products in the execution phase!
How You'll Make an Impact
ProjectLead for internal and external customers to realize opportunities for AM
Developfinal technical solutions for customer proposals in conjunction with thecommercial sales offering
Workclosely with other members of the AM team to implement ContinuousImprovement measures and finish in accordance with the QMS.
Workingwith technical specialists from Design and R&D to ensure the latesttechnical developments are being incorporated into customer solutions
End-to-endproject execution responsibility for the manufacturing process from buildsimulation through to delivery
Directday to day technician support to ensure project goals of quality anddelivery are met
Communicateand share knowledge to local and global communities
What You Bring
Bachelor'sDegree in Mechanical engineering, or similar experience
8+years proven experience with a minimum of 1 year in Metal AM preferred
Advancedskills in 3D-modeling, preferably with experience from NX and TeamCenter
Aninnovative and creative approach
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
