Maintenance Training Specialist Technical Functions
Design technical and non-technical training courses and materials (both paper manuals and electronic presentations)
Develop and/or revise technical and non-technical training content
Deliver/facilitate technical and non-technical training courses
Develop and administer oral, written, and practical examinations/evaluations
Train the trainer (TTT), for example other specialists or designees
Maintain and complete training-related forms (e.g., rosters, attendance forms, student evaluations, proficiency records)
Provide technical assistance to other groups, in an advisory capacity, regarding aircraft maintenance and operational problems, new procedures, and procedural changes
Assist vendors in the design and development of technical training courses or curriculum
Maintenance Training Specialist General Functions
Perform all functions in accordance with safety procedures and policies
Coordinate with other employees and stakeholders in order to accomplish work tasks
Report to position on time, as scheduled, and at assigned station or location, including varying shifts, weekends, and holidays
Complete job-relevant trainings
Adhere to government (e.g., DOT, FAA, TSA) regulations
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and performance standards
Follow instructions from supervisor
Perform duties that require general safety awareness (e.g., when working in an area with moving vehicles)
Use relevant electronic systems to complete work
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
At least 3 years of maintenance experience with heavy/commercial jets
Willing to travel and work off-hour schedules periodically
Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Good working knowledge of GPM and SAFE systems preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Effective organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Previous experience as an instructor preferred
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
Must possess an A & P (Airframe and Power Plant) license
