The Town of Needham and Needham Pubic Schools seeks a creative and collaborative an Interim Enterprise Applications Specialist. Under the direction of the Enterprise Applications Manager, this position maintains and supports enterprise-level software applications and services.

Performs enterprise software installations, configurations, enhancements, customizations, and updates. Troubleshoots and maintains enterprise software applications, including PowerSchool, Google Admin, MS365Admin, Zoom Admin, and ERP systems. Conducts diagnostic investigation of program errors and recommends solutions or methodologies for resolution. Ensures that all software application activities are in compliance with data security and privacy regulations. Configures and performs data integrations. Assigns user access to systems across all locations. Provides guidance and assistance to users on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of software systems. Collaborates with stakeholders to identify requirements and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Stays updated on emerging technologies and trends in related software applications to recommend enhancements and improvements. Documents processes, procedures, and system configurations for knowledge sharing and future reference. Provides training and support to end-users to maximize utilization and proficiency in software applications. Provides mandatory, off-hours emergency support for critical service interruptions, updates, and/or system failures. Collaborates and assists other members of the IT department to ensure the smooth operation of systems and equipment. All other duties as assigned. Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. Four years of similar and relevant applications specialist/ database management experience may be substituted for the educational requirement. Abilities & Knowledge:
Computer systems applications, knowledge, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of computer programming and data security is preferred. Ability to engage in effective communication, collaboration, and teamwork with individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives, while demonstrating respect for their differences. Ability to stay up-to-date technically and apply new knowledge to the job. Includes adapting to and mastering new applications and processes implemented by the department. Ability to respond to urgent calls on a 24/7 basis and to work off-hours shifts. Ability to follow policy and procedures. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Customer service-oriented mindset.
Supervision Received:
Works independently, reporting to the Enterprise Applications Manager.
Supervision Exercised:
No direct supervision, although works with a variety of school employees from all organizational levels and departments.
Job Environment:
Works in a typical office environment, with moderate noise and occasional interruptions.

Ability to operate a keyboard at an efficient speed and to view computer screens for extended periods of time. Operates motor vehicle. Ability to operate standard office equipment.

Salary Information:
FLSA: Exempt
Proposed Salary Scale: Independent Contract, Grade H: $ 83,501 to $ 89,228.
