Summary

DWC seeks a full-time Supervisor- DV Housing Program to supervise a team of field-based case managers, and to provide comprehensive, trauma-informed support to unaccompanied women, women with children, and gender-diverse individuals who are unhoused and survivors of domestic violence and violent crime. The Supervisor- DV Housing Program will model crisis intervention skills, help create safety plans for participants in crisis and provide case consultation to staff. The Supervisor- DV Housing Program should have strong skills in staff supervision, morale and team building and the skill set to meet program deliverables. The Supervisor- DV Housing Program is a member of the Clinical Department and reports directly to the Manager- DV Housing Program (Interim).

Essential Functions

Develop, train and supervise a team of field-based staff who will provide housing placement, case management, and treatment planning to clients who have experienced homelessness, trauma, and co - occurring disorders. Provide individual supervision to direct service staff. Provide oversight of supportive services, including field-based home visits, transportation of clients to housing appointments, assisting with housing applications, and provision of landlord engagement. Provide landlord mediation and conflict resolution between participants and landlords as needed. Work to effectively meet clients' needs and resolve individual barriers through follow-up, advocacy, and collaboration with DWC staff and other community service providers. Utilize evidence-based practices in service delivery such as intensive case management, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, Critical Time Intervention, and Housing First practices. Provide effective crisis intervention and conflict resolution with staff and participants, including in-person crisis intervention as needed. Ensure timely completion and accuracy of intake paperwork, housing service plans, and other program documentation in compliance with contract. Provide oversight of data entry into an electronic database to ensure documentation of services is in accordance with DWC's Documentation Policy. Review and approve financial assistance for program clients and track expenditures. Maintain accurate and timely records, including crisis notes, incident reports and documentation of services provided to participants. Ensure that staff receive comprehensive onboarding, training, and regular professional development. Lead hiring and onboarding processes and ensure that vacancies are filled and staff are functioning with maximized caseloads. Support direct client work per the Scope of Services when there is a vacancy on the team. Participate in quality assurance and audit preparation as needed. Participate in and facilitate meetings and trainings at DWC and in the community. Serve as an ambassador of DWC and its mission and values by participating in community meetings/collaboratives/events. Collect and report on program data and progress as requested. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, staff and local service providers. Provide regular, written reports to the Manager- DV Housing Program (Interim) and additional reports as assigned. Comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations around confidentiality. Other duties as assigned to support the mission of the organization. Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment and requires fieldwork to support case managers in the provision of care. Fieldwork may include home visits or meetings in the community outside of the office. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. This position would also require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday- Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.

Travel

Regular travel throughout Los Angeles County is required in this position.

Remote

Expectation to work either in the field or the office at least three days per week. Must be able to work on-site as scheduled for in-person meetings and trainings.

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications

Education in Human Services, Social Work, or related field preferred 2 years' Supervisory experience required Experience working directly with unhoused populations required Experience providing domestic violence services preferred 40-Hour Domestic Violence certification preferred Crisis intervention/de-escalation experience, and familiarity and comfort working with issues related to homelessness, substance abuse, mental health diagnoses, and the impact of trauma strongly preferred. Knowledge of LAHSA grants, HMIS, and CES systems preferred Experience utilizing data collection tools to track program progress Knowledge of the complex barriers surrounding women's homelessness Utilize Evidence Based Practices in service delivery such as Trauma-Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, and Harm Reduction. Ability to be flexible with hours when needed Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with community stakeholders and health and social service providers Strong administrative skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required Oral and written fluency in English required; Spanish a plus Excellent active listening and problem-solving skills with ability to exercise and model good judgment Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; proven ability to communicate with diverse audiences Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, including proficiency in balancing direct service responsibilities with effective record keeping Cultural humility; knowledge of communities that are disproportionately represented in the homeless population (communities of color, LGBTQ+ etc.) Comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations around confidentiality and mandated-reporting Professional attitude; team- and service-oriented, friendly, and positive Valid California Driver's License, active car insurance, and good driving record required Must be a CA resident and live no more than 80 miles from DWC; must be available for in-person meetings at DWC Must provide documentation of a negative TB test result within the last twelve months, on first day of hire

Pay Range

$68,640 - $69,140/yearly

Pay Range:

$68,640 - $69,140 per year
