PGS Worldwide is actively seeking a
Microelectronics Wire Bonder
for a
one-year contract-to-hire position in Chelmsford, MA . This is a
second-shift role (Monday-Thursday, 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM)
with overtime available, offering a starting pay range of
$27.00 - $30.00 per hour . The selected candidate will play a key role in fabricating and modifying complex micro-circuit modules using both manual and automated wire and ribbon bonding techniques.
Required Qualifications
Familiarity with
wire and ribbon bonding
processes for microelectronic components Experience with
manual and automatic bonding equipment Ability to use microscopes, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment Strong attention to detail and ability to work with microscopic components for extended periods Basic computer literacy, including navigation of digital systems for timekeeping and task tracking High school diploma or GED required Preferred Skills
Familiarity with
manual gold ball bonding
techniques Knowledge of
ESD procedures and test equipment Ability to follow
J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610
standards (or willingness to learn) Experience with pneumatic tools such as torque drivers and screwdrivers Strong teamwork and continuous improvement mindset Position Responsibilities
Fabricate microelectronic components and subassemblies using wire and ribbon bonding techniques Operate bonding machines, microscopes, and precision measurement equipment Read and follow assembly processes and detailed work instructions Handle microscopic to large components with precision and accuracy Maintain accurate production records and perform data entry as required Collaborate with team members to improve processes and throughput Adhere to safety, ESD, and quality requirements at all times
