Growing food manufacturer with a plant located in Baltimore is looking for Maintenance Tech.
You'll be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosis, and future prevention of all equipment failures . Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Specific Responsibilities include: • Uses equipment manuals, P&IDs electrical diagrams for equipment tuning and to maintain a base operating condition. • Orders associate parts and organize inventories for speedy repairs/response. • Can perform small plumbing, metal working, welding, cutting operations, and carpentry to support repairs. • Familiarity with HMIs, machine communications, and VFD controls. • Performs and promotes work activities in a safe and orderly fashion following food safety and OSHA guidelines. • Identifies and works with outside contractors
The ideal candidate will have: Minimum of 3-5 years in a manufacturing / production / industrial environment. Food experience is preferred. • High school diploma or GED Required. Technical school graduate preferred. • Electrical, controls and communications • Direct experience with machines, hands-on repair and operational settings • Knowledge of PLCs, conveyors, motors, and other industrial equipment. • Understanding of food safety and quality standards (HACCP, GMP). • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
