Travel Therapy/Rehabilitation - Radiation Therapist - Required Certifications: BLS, ARRT Licensure SD State Licensure is NOT required Required Education: Graduate from a Radiation Therapy program that will allow them to sit for Radiation Therapist (T) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Scheduling: Shift times: must be willing to work 5-8 s;0800-1630 Weekend rotation: No weekend rotation Will they be on call? No call required Minimum experience required? 3-5 years of experience specific to Radiation Oncology 5 years is most preferred Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes Travelers must live 100 miles away from any Monument Health facility Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler Patient Types: Radiation Oncology - Inpatient and Outpatient98-99% outpatient population Cancer Care Institute is attached to MH Rapid City hospital and inpatients will be brought down per transport team Department will see, on average, 60 patients per day Will treat all types of cancers, to include but not limited to: Lung, Breast, Brain, Head/Neck, GYN, metastatic disease, Lymphomas Patient Ratios: 2:1; 2 therapists per treatment machine, CT SIM - 2:1; 2 therapists per CT simulation Skills: Required Therapies/Skills: Stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), Tomotherapy Accuray Tomotherapy experience is required RADIXACT (preferred exp) Preferred: CT Simulation; Volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) Equipment: Required: Accuray Tomotherapy HI.ART, Elekta Infinity, Preferred: Siemens CT Simulator GO. PRO scanner; RADIXACT, Varian True Beam Support within Department: Supervisor of Radiation Therapy Chief Physicist (2) Medical Physicist (2) Dosimetrists (3) Radiation Oncologists (8) Radiation Therapists (2) RNs (2) LPNs Charting System: Epic - preferred, Mosaiq required Floating: May float to help support department (providing transport but would always be with 1 other therapist if this occurs and never alone) Orientation: (facility and unit) In department at CCI-Rapid City2 days MH online orientation and first day orientation with Supervisor Holiday Expectations: No holidays Scrub Color: Steel Grey Free Parking?
