POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking an Oncology Program Manager to oversee the efficient management of our cancer program and its services, ensuring the highest level of care for our patients. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Formal Education/Training:

Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) or CTR eligible, Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA). Workplace Experience:

Proven experience in coordinating Patient Care Delivery related to cancer services. Equipment and Skills Training:

Minimum of three years in cancer registry experience; coding experience preferred. Program management or administrative experience required; familiarity with FORDS, SEER, EOD, AJCC, NAACCR, and ACoS-COC survey process is desired. Physical Environment:

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Must possess the ability to stand for long periods and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. PERFORMANCE STANDARDS Quality of Care: Ensure accountability for the quality of services provided by the Cancer Program. Collaborate with the Cancer Committee to develop and review standards and policies. Coordinate and monitor quality assurance initiatives with the Director of Patient Safety and Quality Improvement. Facilitate effective communication and integration among committees. Develop task forces and steering committees to foster collaboration. Continuously assess and enhance cancer program activities. Communication: Gather and share program data with the Cancer Committee and leadership for evaluation. Document and report findings from monitoring and evaluation activities quarterly. Assist in developing the Oncology Annual Report. Maintain open communication with the Cancer Committee Chairman and Chief Nursing Officer about progress and challenges. Financial Management: Plan and implement marketing strategies for Cancer Program services. Enhance the visibility and accessibility of the Cancer Center. Support the development of marketing materials. Communicate the quality and benefits of the Cancer Program. Assist in promoting screening programs for high-risk individuals. Planning/Programming: Coordinate activities of the Cancer Program to ensure high-quality services and successful certification. Monitor changes in Commission on Cancer Program standards and report them accordingly. Participate in ACoS special studies that measure quality and outcomes. Lead the initiative for maintaining ACOS accreditation and complete the Survey Application Record (SAR). Assist in managing Cancer Conferences, including case selection and documentation. Submit accurate cancer data to the National Cancer Data Base (NCDB). Maintain efficient operations of the Cancer Registry and perform patient follow-up as required by the American College of Surgeons.
