Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant cardiothoracic surgery provider to work locum shifts in Spokane, Washington (WA). Starting December, 2025, the role offers ongoing work with a competitive market rate and benefits. Cardiothoracic role: We are looking for one provider who can work for 2 to 3 weeks back to back for continuity’s sake. We prefer someone licensed in WA state due to the short window of contracting and credentialling prior to a start date in November/December 2025. Provider will be on the call rotation and will take calls from the nurses floor. PA/NP Cardiothoracic Surgical Assist Vein Harvesting Experience Required Experience/certification for assisting Davinci Robotic Cardiac and Thoracic surgeries a plus. Inpatient/Outpatient Scheduled Clinic Hours + Call Mon-Fri, Hospital 7a-2p. Clinic 9a-4p Weeknight Call rotation 1X weekday nights; 5p-7a. Weekends 7a-7a; Sat-Sun ICU: Weekend Rounds if weekend call 80% Adult, 20% Peds 10% Office/Clinic, 30% hospital Avg # of patients per MLP per day 6, Scheduled: 4, Add-ons: 2 Avg # of Hospital patients per MLP per day: 10-15, 1 Admission, 4 ICU, 1 Surgery 2 Surgeons in clinic per weekday, 2 RNs, 1 LPN, 2 Front Desk, 6 schedulers, 1 practice manager Office Equipment: Fax, copier, scanner multiuse machine, 4 desktop printers, Oxygen canisters, medical supplies for surgical wound care. Water dispensers, wheelchairs, weight scale, automatic blood pressure reader/pulse oximeter. Epic is both narrative and has templets, smart phrases make quick work of documentation. 644 total beds Level 1 for Cardiac Surgical Care, Suturing & Vein Harvesting required Requirements of the Critical Care role: WA state license; active, unrestricted Board certified Certifications- BLS or ACLS 2 years of experience Benefits : Competitive Market Rate (rate based on availability, experience and certifications) Housing and transportation needs covered.
