GLOBE LANE INITIATIVE, Boston, Massachusetts, us, 02298
Join us in honoring the powerful legacy of Frederick Douglass by becoming a volunteer for
#DouglassWeek 2025 , taking place this year all over
Boston, a few locations in MA
and online! We’re seeking enthusiastic and community-minded individuals to help bring this dynamic week of events to life. Volunteers can contribute in a variety of ways-from supporting live, in-person programming and logistics to assisting with
virtual events, social media, communications, outreach and more . Whether you’re helping manage a venue, live-posting during a panel discussion, greeting attendees, distributing materials, or coordinating a guest speaker’s arrival, your presence will play a vital role in making this event series successful, inclusive and inspiring. For those with a passion for the arts, music or performance, there’s also a unique opportunity to get involved with
"Harmonies of Freedom,"
our signature music and creative performance event. Volunteers can assist behind the scenes or, if interested, explore the chance to participate onstage! Throughout the week, volunteers will also have the extraordinary opportunity to meet and interact with
living descendants of Frederick Douglass , as well as leading scholars, artists, activists and community organizers from across the country and beyond. This is more than an event series -it’s a vibrant, global celebration of justice, creativity and community empowerment. No prior experience is required-just bring your time, energy and passion for making a difference. Contact us if you are interested, then join us and be part of something meaningful, educational and unforgettable.
