Job Title:
Manufacturing Maintenance Technician
Summary: A dynamic manufacturing facility is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to keep operations running smoothly. This role focuses on diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring maximum equipment reliability. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong technical expertise who thrives in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect and maintain machinery, electrical control systems, and mechanical components to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Perform preventive maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime and improve equipment longevity.
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults, including troubleshooting control systems, wiring, and circuit boards.
Respond quickly to breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
Document all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
Recommend and execute improvements to enhance machine performance and reliability.
Collaborate with production teams to support uninterrupted workflow.
Train operators and junior technicians on basic troubleshooting procedures.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a manufacturing maintenance role, with expertise in electrical control systems and mechanical repairs.
Strong ability to troubleshoot both electrical and mechanical systems quickly and effectively.
Solid understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PLC systems (PLC troubleshooting experience ).
Proficient with diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or degree .
Significant hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment in a manufacturing setting.
Requirements:
Ability to work under pressure and respond rapidly to production needs.
Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
Strong adherence to safety protocols, especially around electrical systems.
Physical capability to lift and move heavy equipment.
Skills:
Experience with CMMS software.
Knowledge of HVAC systems and hydraulics.
Bilingual abilities are a plus.
