Patient Companion/Caregiver Relief

The vision for Family Hospice remains centered around providing excellent compassionate care by our amazing care team and caring volunteers. Family Hospice needs volunteers interested in making a difference in the lives of our patients. Family Hospice is looking for volunteers to provide companioship to our patients and their family. All it takes is a kind listening ear, playing their favorite game or just watching their favorite show to make a difference. We have positions available for patient companionship & caregiver relief. This role can be provided at a patient's home or at a local Assisted Living Facility. Simple conversation, engaging in activities like bingo, card playing, or being present with the patient are just a few things a patient companion can do. Must be 18 or older and have reliable transportation. Volunteer as much or as little as 1 hour a month. If you have the heart of a servant and can be a friend, being a hospice companion is for you.
