POSITION SUMMARY
The Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst I will be part of a team responsible for monitoring,
analyzing, and responding to security events across the organization. This entry-level position
focuses on triaging alerts, escalating incidents as needed, and assisting with investigations to protect
the organization's systems and data. The analyst will work under the guidance of senior team
members, gaining exposure to enterprise security tools, processes, and best practices.
DESCRIPTION
Duties and Responsibilities Monitor security alerts from SIEM, endpoint protection, email security, and other security tools. Perform initial triage of potential security incidents and escalate according to established procedures. Assist with phishing analysis, malware triage, and basic threat hunting activities. Document security events, investigations, and remediation steps in ticketing systems. Collaborate with IT and security teams to validate findings and improve detection capabilities. Follow SOC playbooks and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent response actions. Participate in ongoing security training to maintain awareness of emerging threats. Performs related duties as assigned by management. Qualifications and Education Requirements
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent experience. 1-3 years' information security experience, preferred. Foundational knowledge of security concepts, operating systems, and common attack methods. Familiarity with SIEM, endpoint protection platforms, and email security solutions preferred.
