Position Summary:
The Class A Truck Driver plays a vital role in Brewster Companies' operations by safely and efficiently transporting machinery, equipment, and materials to and from jobsites across Illinois and Missouri. This position ensures timely delivery to support field crews, maintains compliance with DOT regulations, and upholds the company's commitment to safety and quality. Drivers may also assist mechanics and shop staff with routine yard and equipment tasks.

Job Duties:
Safely operate semi-trucks and haul equipment or materials to jobsites in Illinois and Missouri.
Maintain constant communication with Logistics & Equipment management and on-site superintendents.
Comply with all DOT regulations and rules of the road.
Load, unload, and secure materials and equipment using proper tie-down methods.
Verify DOT permits for all loads and ensure compliance with regulations.
Complete and maintain accurate daily logs, inspection reports, and mileage records.
Keep assigned truck clean, orderly, and in good working condition.
Perform minor service and routine maintenance of equipment, including fuel management.
Assist mechanics and shop crew with equipment, shop, and yard maintenance when needed.
Complete weekly timecards, accurately assigning hours to the correct job.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Job Qualifications:
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A).
Valid DOT Medical Card and ability to maintain DOT physical requirements.
Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
Experience hauling and maneuvering side dump, end dump, transfer, flatbed, lowboy trailers, and tandem dump trucks.
Strong working knowledge of DOT rules, road safety, and hauling requirements.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks associated with a heavy job classification.
