Job Summary
Seeking a skilled MySQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, optimize, and support MySQL database environments The DBA will be responsible for installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and security of MySQL databases across development, test, and production environments This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with application developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders to ensure database reliability, scalability, and efficiency Primary Responsibilities
Installing and configuring new MySQL servers (5.x and 8.x) Designing and developing MySQL stored procedures Upgrading MySQL databases, both major and minor revisions Administering MySQL account access, backups and table spaces Migrating MySQL databases Monitoring MySQL server performance Required Qualifications
Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph BS in CS or related course of study, or equivalent years' experience 10+ years' experience administering to, and engineering solutions with, Oracle MySQL Extensive experience with database design and modeling; as well as the collection and interpretation of customer requirements relevant to database migration, troubleshooting, performance observation and tuning Must be an independent worker with strong communications skills Must be COMPTIA Security Plus certified Desired Qualifications

Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate's experience and qualifications.
The pay range for this role is:
150,000 - 205,000 USD per year (Ft. Meade MD)
