Job Details: Are you passionate about creating a safe and efficient work environment? Do you have a keen eye for potential hazards and a proactive mindset to prevent them? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a Safety Manager for our dynamic construction team. This vital role will oversee all aspects of our safety program, ensuring that we meet and exceed all industry standards and regulations. This is a high-impact role that directly contributes to the success and safety of our team.
Responsibilities: As a Permanent Safety Manager, your primary responsibility will be to implement, and manage health and safety within our construction sites. Your duties will include:
1. Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations. 2. Planning and implementing training for employees in work site safety practices. 3. Conducting safety inspections and audits to assess employee compliance with safety protocols. 4. Investigating accidents and incidents to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in the future. 5. Maintaining records of safety-related incidents and proposing corrective actions. 6. Collaborating with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues. 7. Managing workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs. 8. Staying updated on new laws and regulations regarding health and safety in the construction industry.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this role should have a strong background in construction safety management and a deep understanding of the regulations and standards that govern our industry. Specific qualifications include:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role in the construction industry. 2. Certified in OSHA 30 or equivalent. 3. Proven experience with landscape and landscaping safety procedures. 4. Extensive knowledge of workers' compensation processes and claims management. 5. Strong training skills, with the ability to develop and deliver safety training programs. 6. Exceptional communication skills. Bilingual in Spanish . 7. CSP .
