Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer.
This position is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, installation, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in a dynamic industrial environment. The engineer will ensure the reliability and efficiency of power distribution networks and control circuits, with safety and operational excellence as top priorities. In this role, you will: Perform preventative maintenance, installation, and repair of motors, generators, transformers, control systems, and power distribution networks Operate and maintain 480 VAC 3-phase motor control systems and medium voltage motors, drives, and infrastructure Conduct diagnostic testing on electrical components to identify and resolve issues Troubleshoot system malfunctions, isolate root causes, and implement corrective actions Design, test, and maintain industrial control circuits Develop and implement processes for preventive and corrective maintenance Utilize diagnostic equipment and hand tools for repairs and testing Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operations and continuous improvement Adhere to strict safety protocols and communicate risks impacting safety, production, or quality Support operational needs by working extended hours and flex shifts when required Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering 5+ years of hands-on electrical engineering experience in industrial or manufacturing settings Expertise with low and medium voltage systems (up to 13.6kV transformers and power systems) Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting/programming (Allen-Bradley preferred) Strong skills in troubleshooting electrical control systems Experience specifying and implementing robust sensors and sensing systems Excellent communication and problem-solving skills in team-oriented environments Physical ability to access all work areas, lift/carry 50+ lbs., and wear required PPE Willingness to work 55+ hours per week and flex across shifts during emergencies Journeyman or equivalent electrical certifications strongly preferred Benefits Full-time roles offering overtime and weekend work opportunities Competitive hourly wages plus potential quarterly bonuses Comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance plans Life insurance coverage 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions Paid time off including vacation, sick leave, and holidays Opportunities for career growth and advancement Employee discount programs and perks
