The anticipated salary range for this role is between $190,000.00 and $227,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. Role Description: Design, develop, implement, and maintain data resources. Design and develop database structures for applications and systems, determine relational schema and set security policies. Determine hardware needs for database requirements, including server hardware and storage resources. Review reports and perform analysis of database growth and function for future resource planning. Role Objectives: Delivery Design, develop, implement and maintain data resources. Design and develop database structures for applications and systems, determine relational schema and set security policies. Determine hardware needs for database requirements, including server hardware and storage resources. Set back-up policies and schedules, and conduct testing of back-up and restore system. Review reports and perform analysis of database growth and function for future resource planning. Develop database code to improve performance and minimize storage and resource utilization. Implement fixes for any bugs identified by users. Conduct testing for data errors, structure and consistency. Role Objectives: Interpersonal Work with business unit leads to determine database requirements and retention policies, advise on performance goals, and develop capacity need and growth projections. Partner with IT system administrators to install and configure server and storage hardware, perform maintenance and upgrades, update security lists, and troubleshoot performance and hardware issues. Collaborate with application development team to determine capacity and resource requirements, build and maintain data exchange and API structures, and create automated jobs and tools. Engage with network administrators to develop and maintain telecommunication structures, network security policy and access lists, and troubleshoot and manage any connectivity issues. Role Objectives: Expertise Possess comprehensive understanding of database standards such as SQL, Oracle and Hadoop, as well as different database and data warehouse structures. Display knowledge of data exchange interfaces, APIs, data mining tools, data standardization and cleaning processes, and application interfaces. Demonstrate expertise with database maintenance tools, back-up and testing policies, security and access policies, error correction and validation utilities, and performance monitoring tools. Show ability to analyze database performance and develop improvements to database code to improve scalability and performance.
