Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital is a 285-bed, award-winning facility offering advanced technology and services in diagnostic imaging, cardiovascular care, orthopedic care, surgical services and emergency medicine. Responsibilities Evaluates the environment and makes recommendations to ensure optimal patient comfort, safety, and compliance with standards of care and regulatory bodies (OSHA, JCAHO, infection control, risk management). Plans, leads, organizes, directs, and evaluates the delivery of patient care to achieve sustained outcomes. Facilitates a healthy environment that promotes patient and team member safety, high reliability of processes, and quality outcomes. Embraces workplace diversity and participates in nursing policy formulation and decision-making. Ensures a continual improvement approach to measure performance against established nursing and patient care standards. Serves as an agent of change, assisting leaders and team members in understanding the importance, necessity, impact, and process of change. Analyzes, develops, and maintains an effective nursing delivery model reflecting patient and family needs to achieve desired outcomes. Integrates technology to support improvement of patient care and workload of team members. Responsible for management of team members including recruitment, development, retention, supervision, evaluation, and productivity. Keeps sound business and operational processes; applies key financial principles and organizational financial targets to departmental projects/budgets. Achieves financial and operational benchmarks by developing capital and operating budgets and monitoring expenses. Develops, implements, and evaluates evidenced-based, quality clinical nursing practice aligned with nursing research and professional standards. Demonstrates initiative, situational leadership, and change management; ensures an exceptional customer experience; serves as a liaison to nursing administration.
Qualifications
Education/Training: BSN required. MSN, DNP, or BSN with graduate degree in Business or health-related field preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Current Florida RN license or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. ACLS and/or TNCC may be required based on patient population.
Experience:
At least 3 years as an inpatient registered nurse. 1-2 years of inpatient leadership experience.
