The Annual Giving Officer is responsible for developing and executing strategies to increase donor participation and retention through annual giving campaigns, digital fundraising, and employee giving programs. This role also manages mid-level giving programs ($1K-$25K) and implements donor segmentation strategies to identify and cultivate annual donors with major gift potential. Works closely with hospital leadership, philanthropy colleagues, and marketing teams to build sustainable donor pipelines that align with the hospitals long-term fundraising goals. Requirements: Bachelors degree in philanthropy, business, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field. Masters degree or CFRE (Certified Fund-Raising Executive) certification preferred. Significant job-related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in annual giving, digital fundraising, or donor relations. Experience in healthcare philanthropy or hospital fundraising and knowledge of peer-to-peer fundraising and social media engagement strategies, preferred. Responsibilities of the Annual Giving Officer include, but are not limited to: Strategic Fundraising

: Ability to design and optimize annual giving programs. Data-Driven Decision Making

: Experience in donor segmentation, analytics, and fundraising metrics. Storytelling & Communication

: Strong skills in crafting donor-centric messaging and appeals. Collaboration & Relationship Management

: Ability to work across teams and engage donors in meaningful ways. Tech-Savvy Fundraising

: Proficiency in digital giving tools, online platforms, and donor databases. Annual Giving Campaign Management

: Develop and oversee multi-channel annual giving campaigns, including direct mail, email, social media, text-to-give initiatives, and peer-to-peer fundraising. Employee Giving Programs

: Develop and execute a hospital employee giving program, fostering a culture of philanthropy among staff. Mid-Level Giving Programs

: Manage mid-level donor programs ($1K-$25K) with a focus on retention, stewardship, and donor upgrades. Donor Stewardship & Retention

: In collaboration with the Donor Relations team, develop and oversee annual donor recognition programs, ensuring personalized appreciation and engagement. Collaboration & Cross-Departmental Partnerships

: Partner with philanthropy colleagues to ensure a cohesive donor journey across all fundraising efforts.
