Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Job Description
Design, program, and maintain control systems for injection molding and assembly equipment. Optimize processes to meet automotive quality, cost, and delivery targets, and lead troubleshooting efforts to minimize downtime and scrap.
Responsibilities
Design, program, and maintain control systems such as PLC, HMI, and sensors for injection molding and assembly equipment.
Optimize injection molding processes to meet automotive quality, cost, and delivery targets.
Lead troubleshooting efforts for molding and automation equipment to minimize downtime and scrap.
Collaborate with product development, quality, and maintenance teams to support new vehicle programs and engineering changes.
Implement and sustain lean manufacturing initiatives such as Poka-Yoke, SMED, and continuous improvement events.
Ensure compliance with IATF, ISO 9001, and other relevant automotive standards.
Support APQP activities including PFMEA, control plans, and process validation.
Manage capital equipment projects from specification through installation and commissioning.
Essential Skills
Manufacturing engineering
Process engineering
Injection molding
5-7 years of injection mold experience
Automotive experience
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Mechanical
Additional Skills & Qualifications
RJG Certification in injection mold technology training
Experience on the manufacturing floor
Preferred automotive experience
Work Environment
The role is based on a manufacturing floor within a 24-hour facility.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Fountain Inn, South Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
