This position requires skills to support the design, building, automation, and maintenance of robust data-driven applications and accessible, interactive data visualizations for enrollment, retention, graduation, demographic, and outcome trends, and other critical institutional statistics. The primary place of work is at the Littleton Campus, but travel may occasionally be required to other areas as needed.
Key Responsibilities: Data Management and Analysis:
Collect, extract, review, and analyze data related to academic performance, student demographics, and support services to identify key factors impacting student success. Prepare reports and dashboards that provide insights to leadership for better decision-making related to improving student outcomes. External Reporting & Surveys:
Compile and report institutional data to external agencies and accrediting bodies, develop survey tools, coordinate data collection, and analyze and present survey statistics. Training and Professional Development:
Use analytical, technical, and communication skills to provide actionable data insights, develop training content, and represent the college in professional settings. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Expertise in relational and NoSQL databases, including SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, with advanced skills in writing and optimizing SQL queries, procedures, and views. Proficient in data integration and ETL processes, with strong understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts. Skilled in programming languages for data analysis and automation, such as Python, Java, C#, SAS, R, and SPSS. Ability to guide data conversations and data consumers so data are presented and interpreted as actionable insights for immediate use in institutional decision-making for business decisions. Experienced in building interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, and web-based tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail in identifying and resolving data inconsistencies Effective communicator across technical and non-technical audiences, translating campus needs into data solutions. Capable of managing multiple projects independently, meeting deadlines, and adapting evolving technologies. Bachelor's degree or higher in data analytics, statistics, or a related field or a combination of education and related experience and experience will not count towards the requirements listed below. Two (2) years of experience in data and database management, including methods for systematic and repeatable data querying, extraction, transformation, storage, and analysis in database, spreadsheet, and statistical applications. Demonstrated experience with at least two programming languages, including SQL. Preferred:
