Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Orthopedic NP or PA to provide patient care, conduct medical examinations, diagnose orthopedic conditions, and develop treatment plans. Responsibilities include assisting in surgeries, managing medical records, educating patients, and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct patient evaluations and orthopedic assessments
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Assist in surgeries and minor procedures
Manage pre and post-operative patient care
Provide patient education regarding conditions and treatments
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members
Perform joint injections, casting, splinting, and other orthopedic procedures
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and medical records
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program Current Missouri NP or PA license Board Certification (FNP/AGACNP for NP or NCCPA for PA) Current BLS and ACLS certification 1 2 years of orthopaedic experience preferred (spine, sports medicine, general ortho) Requirements: Knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy, orthopedic diagnoses, and treatment protocols Proficiency in joint injections, casting/splinting, and surgical assistance Familiarity with workers compensation processes (preferred) Strong EMR/EHR documentation skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently, manage a patient panel, and balance clinical and administrative duties Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and time management skills
