Position Overview:
A local delivery operation in Lincoln is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Class A CDL Driver
to join the team. This role involves transporting wall panels, roof trusses, and door panels to construction sites using trucks equipped with mounted forklifts. Drivers operate independently, maintain delivery documentation, and ensure timely, damage-free deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate semi-trucks with mounted forklifts and pull trailers with two or more axles
Deliver bulky and heavy construction materials in compliance with DOT regulations
Load/unload materials at job sites (using forklift or assisted by site personnel)
Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures
Keep driver logs (ELD) and forms up to date per DOT standards
Conduct vehicle inspections and report any issues or incidents
Communicate with dispatch and customers to resolve delivery-related concerns
Maintain a high level of productivity and urgency throughout the day

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Valid, unrestricted Class A CDL and current DOT certification (no training provided)
At least
1 year
of driving and delivery experience
Forklift experience
Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed
Consistent attendance and reliability
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years
of CDL driving experience
Experience handling lumber or construction materials
6+ months
of customer-facing experience
Ability to read and interpret delivery tickets
Work Environment:
Deliver to active construction sites and lumber yards
Work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment
Dress code: jeans, steel-toe boots, and weather-appropriate layers
Operate independently with support from dispatch and management
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $62400.00/yr.
