Job Summary

Responsible for the overnight operations of the hotel; verify the accuracy of guest accounts, balancing charges and revenues. Responsibilities

Greet guests and deliver exceptional guest service. Accommodate hotel guests by registering and assigning rooms, issuing room keys, transmitting and receiving messages, keeping records of occupied rooms and guests accounts, making and confirming reservations, answering PBX calls and connecting callers to the appropriate extension, and presenting statements to and collecting payments from departing guests. Utilize Ballys player CMP system (regulated by MS Gaming Commission) to assist guests at check-in/check-out, make marketing offer reservations, enroll new members, update member profiles, issue premiere cards, and maintain confidentiality of information. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Create 100% guest satisfaction by providing fast and friendly, genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations. Provide personal attention, take personal responsibility, and use teamwork. Listen and apologize with empathy, resolve problems, and follow through with solutions. Greet, register, and assign rooms; maintain knowledge of hotel information, including room categories, rates, packages, and promotions. Input and retrieve information from the computer; ensure accuracy of guest information and room rates; keep records of room availability and guest accounts. Compute bills and collect payments; make and confirm reservations; issue room keys and provide directions to rooms and amenities. Handle PBX calls and inquiries about hotel, casino, services, dining, entertainment, and activities; coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance as needed. Balance cash accounts; handle money and processing of cards; issue gift certificates and cards; record guest comments or complaints; resolve issues or escalate to supervisor when necessary. Verify guest identification and payment method; promote guest loyalty by encouraging Premiere Card sign-ups. Be aware of self-excluded guests as issued by MS Gaming Commission. Required Skills And Abilities

Ability to obtain a Work Permit issued by the Mississippi Gaming Commission (MGC) and comply with all MGC regulations. Understand and comply with company and department policies, procedures, and regulations. Provide exceptional guest service; project a positive, professional attitude at all times. Ability to interact with internal and external guests with tact and diplomacy; resolve conflicts and refer unresolved issues to supervisor. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and handle distractions. Experience in money handling, computer skills, customer service, or prior front desk experience preferred. Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; follow directions and accept feedback; work well with others; maintain confidentiality. Must be well-groomed with impeccable hygiene; able to work days, nights, overnights, weekends, holidays, and events as required. Fluency in English (verbal and written); ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents; respond to inquiries; write and present information to management; communicate effectively. Mathematical proficiency for duties related to hotel operations; ability to interpret instructions and handle multiple variables. Education And Experience

High school diploma or equivalent Previous customer service experience preferred Previous hotel experience a plus Previous night auditor or accounting experience a plus Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
