A day in the life of a field engineer at Graham Construction, a 3G Company: This is a position that plays an important role in our construction projects. Based on a construction project site, they assist through the all life-cycles of a project by supporting and learning from field leaders. They help encourage and drive our safety culture.
Job Title: Field Engineer
Reports to:Field Resource Leader
Purpose: The purpose of this job project is to learn the fundamentals of building and assist the project team to ensure quality work is performed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
What you'll do:
Work with superintendent and foreman to learn building fundamentals and codes
Aid superintendent and project manager with project budgeting, bidding, buyouts, procurement log, RFIs, and certifications of occupancies
Provides input in Pre and 1st Installation Verification meetings with trade partners
Complete procurement log and submittals in a timely manner
Ensure equipment and material arrive at the jobsite per schedule
Promote, enforce, and train trade partners on Grahams safety policies
Conducts safety walks and reports
Works closely with Superintendent and Project Manager to learn labor and material reports and able to accurately analyze the available money and manpower for specific work activities
Utilize Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Projects, and Outlook
Follow Graham Core Process, including jobsite checklists
Maintain great relationships with owners/clients, architects, trade partners, and other industry representatives
All other duties as assigned
What knowledge, Skills, & Abilities you'll bring:
Bachelors degree in construction management/related degree (), associates degree in construction management or equivalent field experience
Great verbal and written communication skills
Extremely detail-oriented
Strong leadership skills
Legal Requirements
Ability to work nights and weekends as necessary
Valid drivers license
Ability to pass pre-employment testing
Must be able to navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather.
Ability to take and pass OSHA 30 certification
Ability to work within one of Graham Constructions operational areas as assigned
