Site Safety Specialist Location:

Position Summary We are seeking a qualified
Site Safety Specialist
to support and enhance safety operations across our construction sites. This role is responsible for conducting safety inspections, enforcing safety policies, and ensuring all job sites maintain compliance with federal, state, and company safety standards. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of OSHA standards, hands-on field experience, and a proactive approach to building a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards and verify compliance with safety regulations.
Participate in project handoffs and ensure safe startup conditions for each site.
Document and communicate inspection findings; issue and track corrective action plans (CAPs).
Maintain safety inventory including PPE, first aid kits, and other essential resources at each site.
Consult with field leadership to maintain safe practices aligned with Canyon State Electrics policies.
Train and certify workers on equipment usage and safety procedures.
Enforce safety protocols and support continual improvement efforts across all field operations.
Report all incidents promptly using company software and notify relevant safety leadership.
Build strong relationships with employees, subcontractors, GCs, and regulatory officials to reinforce safety-first culture.
Qualifications Minimum 2 years experience coordinating safety on large construction projects.
In-depth knowledge of
OSHA 29 CFR 1926
and other applicable safety regulations.
OSHA 510 and
NFPA 70E
certifications required.
Must meet
NFPA 70E Electrical Safety Qualified Person
standards.
Strong ability to document, track, and manage safety records and incident reports.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Comfortable using web-based safety software and databases.
Able to deliver effective safety training to small and large groups.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Must have a valid drivers license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
