What We Need:

The Software Engineer Intern is responsible for implementing and supporting the software team's delivery of high-quality code. The individual will assist in various engineering duties, including but not limited to: the research and investigation of software solutions, software design, software development and debugging, software maintenance, documentation, and other duties appropriate to the individual's level of education and experience. All engineers are required to follow Brady's software development process, which includes our iterative development approach.

What You'll Be Doing:

Leverage C# .NET and Microsoft's Visual Studio environment

Utilize object oriented coding techniques, follow coding standards, and follow development best practices

Support other development and quality assurance team members with expertise in code and functionality

Performs code reviews and follows all development processes

Setup and use software code debuggers and profiling tools

Design, develop, and test web applications using React/TypeScript

What You Will Need To Be Successful:

Currently pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

Knowledge of one or more object-oriented programming languages: C++, C#, or Java

Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies

Infrastructure as code and automation, preferred

AI tools and prompt engineering, preferred

Knowledge of .NET, preferred

Experience with source control, preferred

This is a part-time (10-15 hours per week) internship for the school year, with possibility of working full-time during the summer (May - August of 2026)
