Day Shift Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced
Radiation Therapist
to join our
Radiation Oncology Team
in
Medford, OR . This full-time
Day Shift
position will be responsible for delivering radiation therapy treatments to patients as part of their cancer care plan. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, skilled in patient care, and knowledgeable about the latest radiation therapy technologies and procedures. Key Responsibilities:
Administer
radiation therapy treatments
to patients according to the prescribed treatment plan.
Position patients accurately and explain the procedure to ensure their comfort and safety.
Operate and maintain
radiation therapy equipment
and ensure proper safety protocols are followed.
Monitor patients during treatments, assessing their condition and reporting any issues to the physician.
Maintain accurate
patient records
and treatment documentation.
Participate in
patient education , providing information on side effects, procedures, and expectations.
Collaborate with the
radiation oncology team
to discuss treatment progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
Adhere to all
safety regulations and guidelines , ensuring patient and staff safety during radiation therapy.
Assist in
quality assurance (QA)
testing and equipment maintenance.
Ensure
infection control procedures
are followed and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Qualifications:
Education & Certification:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or Radiologic Technology.
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiation Therapy required.
State licensure
(if required in Oregon).
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
preferred.
Experience:
1+ years of experience
in radiation therapy preferred (new graduates may be considered).
Proficiency in
radiation therapy techniques, equipment operation , and patient care.
Familiarity with
radiation safety protocols
and
oncology treatment planning .
Strong
communication skills
and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Shifts & Work Schedule:
Day Shift (Full-Time, 40 hours per week)
May include
weekends and holidays as needed
