The role you'll contribute:
The Infection Preventionist is a qualified individual with knowledge of CDC guidelines and definitions of nosocomial infections, TJC standards, Federal and State regulations. The infection preventionist is responsible for the investigation, identification, reporting, prevention and control of nosocomial infections among patients and personnel. Functions as a key member of the region infection prevention and patient safety teams.

Leverages technology for surveillance and reporting, ensuring data integrity and timely submission to applicable regulatory systems.
Collaborates with internal teams and external partners including public health officials, healthcare coalitions, and vendors to enhance infection prevention outcomes.
Advocates for evidence-based practices, maintaining adherence to ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
Participates in research and quality improvement initiatives, differentiating between QI and research, and disseminating results through education and consultation.
Contributes to product evaluation and cost-effectiveness initiatives, supporting organizational goals through informed decision-making and business case development.
The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
Graduate of school of nursing with a minimum of an Associate of Science degree or diploma.
Active Florida RN license required or active multi-state RN license.
3 Years Work Experience
Infection Control Certification (CIC)
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
