ComResource is looking for an Application Support Engineer.
We need someone to assist in leading technical support for RTP Rail TechOps, managing incidents, mentoring offshore engineers, and driving improvements across monitoring, tooling, and documentation.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the technical lead for RTP integrations and transaction flows
Build cross-functional relationships across payment rail teams
Own escalation decisions and coordinate handoffs to development
Lead postmortems, RCA reviews, and playbook updates
Monitor SiteScope and Splunk alerts for anomalies
Perform triage and escalate critical issues to on-call teams
Investigate API errors, transaction failures, and infrastructure issues
Run SQL queries for data validation and troubleshooting
Manage incidents in ServiceNow and Confluence
Ensure smooth shift handovers and knowledge continuity
Lead L2 troubleshooting for RTP services and integrations
Collaborate with SRE and DevOps to debug containerized services
Drive RCA processes and maintain technical documentation
Enhance Splunk alerting and dashboard visibility
Develop automation scripts for monitoring and reliability improvements
Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation
Essentials:
Experience with Java/Spring Boot, REST API debugging, AWS (Aurora, ECS, Lambda)
Hands-on with Splunk, SiteScope, Grafana, Snowflake
Skills in Kafka, MQ, networking, SQL, Linux, Oracle
Knowledge of mainframe (COBOL, CICS, DB2)
ServiceNow and Confluence proficiency
