POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Regulatory Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards for chemical and chemical products within the Industrial, Commercial & Institutional (ICI) products sector. The role ensures support for the company's sustainability initiatives through Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and packaging compliance with regulations. This role also involves developing and executing regulatory strategies, managing regulatory submissions, and maintaining compliance across the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Regulatory Strategy Development:
Develop and implement regulatory strategies to support product registrations, amendments, and renewals in the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico. Compliance Management:
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulatory bodies. Regulatory Submissions:
Prepare and submit regulatory documents, including safety data sheets (SDS), labels, and product dossiers. Stakeholder Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal teams, regulatory consultants, and industry bodies to identify data requirements and address regulatory challenges. Regulatory Intelligence:
Monitor and analyze regulatory changes and trends to ensure ongoing compliance and provide guidance to the business. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date regulatory files and records. Prepare and present regulatory reports to management. Training and Support:
Provide regulatory training and support to internal teams to ensure understanding and compliance with regulatory requirements. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field such as Biochemistry, Materials Science, or Environmental Science. Advanced degree preferred. Legal experience is a plus 5+ years of experience in regulatory affairs within the chemical or arelated industry In-depth knowledge of US and Canadian regulatory requirements for chemical products. In-depth knowledge of formulation, chemistry, and packaging of ICI products Ability to assess regulatory impacts due to new or changing regulations and develop actionable responses for product, raw material, and packaging issues Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC) or equivalent is a plus Occasional travel may be required to attend regulatory meetings and conferences State and Federal EPA Pesticide Registrations SDS and Label Creation and Compliance Reviews Familiarity with GHS, DOT, FIFRA, MoCRA, VOC, CARB or Health Canada regulations Prepare and Maintain Regulatory Documents and Technical Files Ability to Provide Risk Assessments and Formula Reviews Monitor and Analyze the Changing Regulatory Landscape Conduct Compliance Audits Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Ability to Speak to a Group and Conduct Effective Trainings Ability to Analyze Government Regulations EOE Statement:
