Looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join a claims department. This role involves managing workers' compensation claims from inception to resolution, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory guidelines while delivering excellent service to all stakeholders. Compensation Package Salary Range: $75,000 - $105,000
Responsibilities
Managing workers' compensation claims from initiation to resolution. Investigating, documenting, and determining coverage and liability for industrial-accident and occupational-disease claims. Reviewing medical records and other documentation to manage the medical and disability aspects of claims. Collaborating with injured workers, policyholders, medical providers, vendors, attorneys, and other stakeholders. Ensuring injured workers receive appropriate benefits in compliance with statutory and regulatory guidelines. Working closely with the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board and judges as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements
Thorough understanding of California Workers' Compensation laws, the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, and established internal claims standards. Working knowledge of medical terminology. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong attention to detail, investigative abilities, and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is a plus.
