Geospatial Systems Administrator position within the Information Technology category. This full-time role supports a DoD organization and will be located in Fayetteville, NC. Travel up to 10% (Outside Continental US). Clearance: TS/SCI. Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be part of an IT team responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of an enterprise system architecture, including geospatial databases, network equipment, and software tools and applications. Responsibilities include: Perform complex analysis, design, and modification of GIS applications and databases; evaluate new GIS hardware and software. Install, configure, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot the enterprise GIS architecture. Serve as the face of the IT team with end users to troubleshoot and develop solutions that meet requirements. Administer technologies including ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, SOCET GXP, OpenGeo Software Suite, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory, NetApp storage, VMWare, and Linux server software. Contribute to system architecture backup and recovery planning, implement security protocols and patches, monitor system health and load, and administer multiple servers, databases, and storage solutions. Qualifications
Required: Top Secret Clearance AND meet the requirements of DCID 6/4 Install, configure, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot systems within the enterprise GIS architecture 5 years of progressive experience providing technical assistance and support for computer systems, hardware, and software for MS and LINUX operating environments At least 2 years of experience within the past three years in Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory, VMware, Linux server software, and knowledge of network storage Proficiency in administering and deploying geospatial applications and intelligence-related automation to support analytical efforts and product development Proficiency in administering and deploying enterprise-level open source and COTS GIS server equipment in support of Intelligence organizations Must obtain and maintain currency of the appropriate level certification in accordance with DoDD 8570.01 Desired: Bachelors degree with at least 5 years of additional experience supporting special operations automated desktop processing (ADP) management. Additional experience in intelligence systems architecture and geospatial systems is highly desirable. This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. This range depends on factors such as location, experience, skills, education, and certifications.
