We are currently seeking a highly motivatedSenior Project Manager II located inLos Angeles, CA.
Required Education:
There are 4 ways to meet the education requirement:
Graduationfromarecognizedcollege or university withabachelorsdegreeinArchitecture, Engineering, or Construction Management
OR
Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelors degree. Candidate must be able to complete the Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential within one (1) year of employment in the Facilities Services Division of the Los Angeles Unified School District.
OR
College undergraduate but possess more than 20 years of Construction or Project Management experience and must complete the Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential within one (1) year of employment in the Facilities Services Division.
OR
Possessionof avalidCertifiedConstructionManager(CCM)credentialatthetimeofresume submission which may substitute for the required education
Certifications/Licenses:
A valid Certificate of Registration as an Architect by the California Architectural Board or Professional Engineer by the California State Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors
Required Qualifications: In order to become a candidate, you must possess these skills and abilities
17 years full time paid professional project/construction management experience
5 years of experience in managing large programs with projects having construction values in excess of $50 million (not cumulative)
5yearsexperienceineducationalfacilityconstruction,publicworksorlargecommercial projects (may include projects outside of California)
Additional Experience:
DesignBuild Experience
Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)
Experience in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects and/or the Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS)
Experiencewith Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes
Responsibilities:
Managesand providesconstructionoversightto OARs
Resolvescomplexconstructionprojectrelatedissues,disputes,and disagreements Develops,assigns,and monitorsperformance ofOARsrelativetoassignedconstruction projects
Reviewsstatusandoverallconstructionprojectprogressrelativetosubmittedconstruction schedules
Reviewschangeorders fromallconstructionprojectsandassessestheirimpactonthe District
AssistsRegionalDirectors andotherFacilitiesmanagementstaffwithbidandcontract planning
AssessesbidspecificationsforDistrictneed and probability ofcompletionunderstated timeline
Reviewsstatus andmonitorsvariancesoftheconstructionprojectdatabaserelativeto scheduling and cost control reporting
Reviews and verifies submitted applications for payment and performs overall fiscal management of multiple construction projects
Provides functional direction over areas of responsibility including construction project schedules, cost control, dispute resolution, contract administration, and quality control
Reviewsandmonitorsoveralladministrationofcontractsforthearchitectandrelated consultants
Coordinates program activities with other District organizational branches and departments such as the Office of Environmental Health and Safety, Design and A/E Technical Support, Asset Management Branch, Facilities Contract Administration, Inspection Unit, Maintenance and Operations, and local districts
Reviewsandtakesrecommendedactionsinresolvingdisputesrelativetoconstruction projects
Developsandrecommendsinternalpoliciesand procedures Performsotherrelateddutiesas assigned
Salary:
$205,000 - $210,000 Annually
Bonus Pay:
A bonus may be granted to employees depending on individual performance, employee utilization, attendance, tenure, and furtherance of other non-financial corporate goals; bonus opportunities are available at managements discretion.
