Job Description - About the Role:
As the Restaurant General Manager, you will oversee a Taco Bell location, ensuring compliance with company policies while maximizing customer satisfaction and profits. Reporting to the Area Coach, you will engage in hands-on management, train team members, address customer needs, and exemplify top-notch service.
Key Responsibilities:
Build People Capability:
Champion the culture, resolve conflicts, and motivate your team to achieve results.
Recruit and train high-quality staff to enhance customer experience.
Develop a capable management team and support them in their growth.
Drive performance management for all employees within the restaurant.
Lead by example, living the Taco Bell HUNGRY principles: Hungry, Understanding, Never Follow, Grateful, Relentless, and Youthful.
Utilize people management to elevate brand performance.
Deliver a Consistent Customer Experience:
Execute corporate and local marketing initiatives effectively.
Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for both team members and customers.
Manage daily operations including labor scheduling and inventory control for a restaurant with $1.0 million - $2.0 million in sales.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Model excellent customer service and resolve major customer issues while training managers to uphold service standards.
Use customer feedback to continually enhance the dining experience.
Analyze customer complaints, implement action plans, and drive improvements.
Focus on Speed with Service performance and coach management teams to reach set targets.
Grow the Brand, Sales and Profits:
Oversee Profit & Loss management, cash control and security measures.
Establish maintenance plans to uphold Taco Bell standards for facilities and equipment.
Review and prioritize capital expenditures to benefit from vendor relationships.
Analyze sales and controllable items continuously to coach for corrective actions.
Collaborate with your team to create specific Annual Operating Plans.
Qualifications:
High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
2-4 years of operational management experience in the quick service restaurant sector or retail with P&L responsibilities.
Competency in basic business math, accounting skills, and strong analytical abilities.
Exceptional interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Effective oral and written communication skills, coupled with team-building capabilities.
Basic computer skills.
Passionate about delivering quality food, service, and a clean environment.
Dynamic, energetic leader who is proactive and integrity-driven.
A history of success in selecting and mentoring managerial staff.
Proven capability in boosting customer satisfaction and improving financial and employee performance.
