Senior Software Engineer
This position is for a senior level Software Engineer supporting the U-2 Avionics Technical Refresh Program (ATR) within the historic Skunk Works Organization. The U-2 ATR team is a diverse set of hardware and software engineers working to design, develop, prototype, and integrate cutting edge technologies. You will be expected to take and provide technical direction, as well as guidance from senior engineers and execute to completion. A willingness to learn, analyze complex technical information, and the ability to take initiative and ask questions are characteristics that will make the selected candidate successful. As a senior software engineer, you will apply your aptitude for learning and technical skills to solve challenging middleware problems in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You'll contribute to software solutions with an eye toward commonality and reusability to reduce long-term costs. You will participate in the full development lifecycle, from requirements and design to implementation, testing, hardware integration, through sustainment. Along the way, you'll develop your own software skills, learn how we integrate hardware and software, and build interpersonal relationships with peers to facilitate healthy collaboration and deliver on customer needs. Must be a US citizen. This position requires special access and a Secret clearance to be considered. Basic Qualifications: 4-year degree in B.S. Computer Science, B.S Computer Engineering or B.S. Electrical Engineering Experience with C/C++ programming languages Experience with UNIX/Linux development environment Experience with Agile methodologies Experience with Git, GitLab, and CI/CD concepts Desired Skills: Familiar with Real Time Operating System (RTOS) / deterministic system design Experience with OpenGL, Gtk, Qt Frontend development experience Avionics experience Aerospace experience Experience with virtualization, containers, and container deployment Experience with Python Experience with the networking stack in Linux Experience integrating software in an embedded hardware environment Experience with software integration conducted with software from multiple different teams Familiar with software development process (CMMI Level 3 or equivalent) Written and verbal communication Understanding of software engineering best practices Experience with googletest Experience with cmake, g++ Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
