Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking an experienced associate to join its Real Estate Finance practice in New York. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 7 years of experience handling complex commercial real estate finance matters, including mortgage and mezzanine financings, preferred equity investments, and a wide range of structured lending and intercreditor arrangements. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated transactions across various asset classes and financing structures in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Location:

Advise on a wide range of real estate finance transactions, including mortgage and mezzanine loans Represent lenders and borrowers in preferred equity investments and permanent/bridge loan originations Structure and negotiate construction loans, loan participations, and syndications Draft and review co-lender agreements, intercreditor agreements, and other complex finance documents Manage and negotiate loan modifications, workouts, and restructurings Coordinate with real estate, tax, and corporate teams to support full transaction lifecycle Conduct legal due diligence and assist in transaction closings Requirements:
3 to 7 years of commercial real estate finance experience from a top-tier law firm Strong background in real estate lending, including both borrower and lender representation Proven ability to manage complex financing transactions independently Experience with a variety of debt structures and capital stacks Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school Strong academic credentials required Certifications:
Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (New York preferred) Skills:
