Programmer Analyst I (FT), CF4E40012IS Inside Higher Ed College of DuPage is a comprehensive community college located 27 miles west of downtown Chicago, connected to the local area for over 50 years. We prepare students for lifelong learning on our 273-acre campus, offering nine associate degrees and a variety of professional and technical certificates. Many credentials prepare students to articulate into baccalaureate programs with our higher education partners. Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Performs computer programming activities to fulfill projects, resolve problem reports, and respond to help desk calls. Includes investigation, coding, testing, updating documentation, and preparation for implementation. Receives assignments verbally or in writing and, at times, uses system knowledge and analysis experience to complete tasks. Under direct supervision, performs analysis activities as assigned. Consults with users to aid in the analysis of programming requests and resolution of problem reports and help desk calls. Applies general technical knowledge for testing and resolving problems; serves as a resource when needed. Demonstrates problem solving, reasoning, and judgment skills to resolve issues with minimal supervision. As requested, learns and becomes proficient in new technologies (examples include programming languages, software, applications, etc.). On call as needed to resolve application problems that affect the production environment. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Education Associate degree in Computer Science or related field required. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. Experience Minimum of one to two years of experience with Crystal programming, SQL programming, and/or Ellucian Colleague System and/or learning management systems. Familiar with Microsoft Windows environment. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Three years of Crystal programming experience, SQL, SharePoint, ASP.NET, C#, and/or Visual Studio or similar experience preferred. Familiar with Ellucian Colleague, Business Objects, and/or learning management systems preferred. Working Conditions
PCs and MS Office; pleasant office with varied working hours, including odd times. Position requires a background check and drug screen. Hybrid Remote Eligible:
