Verdantas is seeking a
Senior Engineer
to join our team and support the power delivery team. This position is
remote.
Under the supervision of the engineer of record and project manager, you'll perform aspects of engineering design and application of basic transmission line design principles for existing and new build transmission structures. The position involves the capabilities to model lines using PLS-CADD software, review other engineers' design work, and coordinate internally with team members and the client directly.

What You'll Do:
Transmission & Distribution design engineering Communication with clients PLS-CADD modeling Construction package creation Fabrication drawing review Standards and specification knowledge Performing design calculations and creating project reports Steel pole analysis Performing trainings Working with other engineers in a collaborative work environment Scheduling of engineering activities Project progress updating and tracking Structural and foundation engineering QA/QC duties Engineer of Record on consulting jobs Developing, mentoring, and supervising a team of engineers What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering Professional Engineer's license 8+ years of experience in transmission line design Experience in the design of transmission structure foundations Experience in the design of engineered steel pole structures Understanding of Sag/Tension concepts, basic conductors, and use of Graphical Sag to determine tension on conductors within the utility system Experience in knowledge, use, and application of PLS Programs, including PLS-CADD and an understanding and application of L2, L3, and L4 analysis within it Knowledge of US codes and standards (ANSI, ASTM, ASCE, NESC, and GO 95) Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Salary Range:
$120,000-$140,000
