Description
Position Summary
We are looking for a UI/UX Engineer who blends engineering, design, and user experience expertise to craft the next generation of payments and financial experiences. This role sits at the intersection of front-end development, design systems, and user-centered thinking, ensuring that our products are not only functional but also intuitive, accessible, and delightful.
This person will play a critical role in bridging design and engineering, while also bringing an AI-first mindset-using AI tools to accelerate workflows, improve creativity, and enhance user experience across the product lifecycle.
Areas of Focus
All other duties as assigned, plus... Partner with product managers, UX strategists, engineers, and researchers to design and build elegant, scalable solutions from concept to launch. Develop and maintain user interfaces for technically complex financial systems while building trust and transparency for end-users. Contribute to and evolve our design system, ensuring consistency across both branded and white-label implementations. Translate design into production-ready code, to ensure seamless implementation. Leverage AI-powered tools (e.g., for prototyping, design generation, accessibility checks, code scaffolding, and user feedback analysis) to improve speed and creativity in the design-engineering process. Advocate for inclusive, accessible design (ADA compliance, WCAG standards, universal design) and ensure accessibility principles are integrated from the start. Use both qualitative and quantitative data-including AI-driven insights-to inform design decisions and iterate quickly. Mentor teammates on design best practices, AI adoption, and effective collaboration across design and engineering. Work directly with clients and partners to gather feedback, present design concepts, and provide implementation guidance. Contribute to business growth by quickly crafting compelling design and prototype solutions for prospective clients. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
7+ years of experience designing and engineering complex user interfaces for web or mobile applications. Strong front-end coding skills (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React or similar frameworks) combined with mastery of design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch). Proven ability to bridge design and development-creating designs that translate seamlessly into high-quality, performant code. Experience working with and contributing to scalable design systems. Deep knowledge of UX processes-able to flex between discovery, prototyping, testing, and delivery. Experience with AI tools in design and engineering workflows (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, MidJourney, Uizard, Galileo, or equivalent). Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and advocate for the user experience with executives and engineers alike. Passion for continuous learning, AI adoption, and pushing the boundaries of what's possible in UI/UX engineering.
