Lead continuous improvement activities for manual and automated robotic weld applications.
Serve as the subject matter expert for welding processes and applications.
Develop and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Manufacturing Engineering Procedures, and Work Instructions.
Assist with the procurement, setup, and application of welding machines, equipment, and consumables.
Create training materials and lead training for welding personnel.
Collaborate with R&D Engineering to ensure robust weld processes during product design and testing phases.
Provide technical guidance on manufacturing processes, equipment requirements, and process capabilities.
Analyze operational data to establish performance standards for new or modified equipment, fixtures, and processes.
Recommend and implement cost reduction, quality improvement, and manufacturing capability expansion initiatives.
Perform visual inspections of welded components to ensure quality compliance. What We're Looking For:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering required (Weld Engineering preferred).
Experience: 8+ years in Manufacturing or Weld Engineering.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and weld symbology.
Hands-on welding experience required; MIG and Pulse welding preferred.
Strong knowledge of AWS D1.1 welding standards.
Experience with SolidWorks CAD, WeldPro CAD, and FANUC Robotics strongly preferred.
AWS-CWI certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
Formal training in robotic systems, metal fabrication, and arc welding.
