Overview
Materials Distribution Tech - Full Time - Evening at Hackensack Meridian Health. Provide quality service, supplies and equipment by controlling, storing and distributing the correct supplies and equipment, with timely issues, in the right quantity and in a quality condition. Rotating assignments and flexible schedules may be required. Responsibilities
Pick, Pack and Restock Omnicells. Remove excess supplies, ensure correct bin and reconcile stock returned. Clean, rotate stock by checking expiration dates and package integrity. Conduct cycle counts to verify par levels. Generate replenishment reports if needed, pick required supplies and deliver to assigned Omnicell. Maintain Omnicells button bars, labels, clips, bins and dividers. Report repairs or issues to supervision. Restock Code Carts according to the Quality Pick List; organize Code Carts and complete tasks in a timely manner. Retrieve carts for replenishment and replace products nearing expiration. Replenish special carts and sets using a pick list. Release and fill orders (Pick Tickets) for supplies in HEMM, Horizon Clinical and Omnicell. Reconcile patient matching in Omnicell. Notify Inventory Controller or Purchasing of stock-outs or critical low inventory via phone or email. Participate in department preparation and year-end inventory. Check expiration dates and package integrity at issue. Record inventory issues, department charges and returns in the HEMM system. Enter, cancel or verify Horizon Clinical patient charge issues. Maintain logs and paperwork for door issues, trays and special carts. Communicate inventory and safety issues at daily huddle. Ensure product is stocked in correct locations, maintain proper bin locations, stock shelves in clean bins, rotate stock and check package integrity for cleanliness, damage and expiration dates. Receive and deliver to departments. Log reprocessed equipment and prepare for issue to nursing units. Plug in battery-powered equipment and coordinate with Biomedical Dept for issues. Track equipment usage and maintain related logs. Other duties and/or projects as assigned. Adhere to Hackensack Meridian Health organizational competencies and standards of behavior. Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required High School diploma, GED, or equivalent. Minimum 1 year hospital, warehouse or retail store experience. Commitment to learning and quality improvement processes. Good verbal and written communication, reading and math abilities. Ability to respond to STAT requests quickly. Education, Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Preferred Minimum 1 year customer service experience. Central Service / Distribution knowledge and basic computer skills. Starting pay generally listed as starting at $18.36 per hour.
