The Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting and Operations will be responsible for billing, collections, revenue recognition, revenue accounting processes, and systems. The ideal candidate will be an experienced business partner for sales, revenue operations, deal desk, legal, finance, professional services, executives, and others. They will have extensive experience reviewing and structuring complex deals to achieve positive business outcomes in line with revenue recognition guidelines. This individual will seek to simplify, automate, and enhance current practices by securing quick wins while creating a path for future investments. Most importantly, they understand how to scale the department in line with the business and are excited to work at a rapidly evolving, mission-driven organization. In this role, youll: Complete the multiple phases of our automated revenue recognition tool implementation, simplifying the process for recording, allocating, and forecasting revenue. Rebuild simple processes, enhance automation, and improve controls throughout the order-to-cash process. Build relationships with relevant business partners to influence go-to-market and commercialization strategies; evaluate new product introductions or upstream process changes for impacts on Revenue Accounting. Develop insightful and analytical revenue reporting processes, transitioning from quarterly to bi-monthly reporting. Lead the Billing and Collections team with a focus on improving working capital. Review and approve customer contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition per company policy and standards. Collaborate with legal, deal desk, sales, revenue operations, professional services, and other stakeholders to structure contracts and approve non-standard deal terms. Lead the monthly financial close, ensuring accurate and timely transaction recording, reconciliation reviews, and completion of relevant processes. Serve as the Finance organization's subject matter expert on revenue recognition and ASC 606 standards. Liaise with external auditors, present significant updates, and provide supporting documentation for audits. Proven ability to hire and develop high-performing teams. A strong bias toward action and automation. Experience building and improving processes within Quote to Cash. Polished communication and collaboration skills, with a strong ability to listen and influence. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and to prioritize workload effectively. Strong working knowledge of US GAAP principles, financial statements, and ASC 606 standards. SaaS and Data experience. Technologies we use include: Preferred systems skills in NetSuite, NetSuite ARM, Floqast, Salesforce, Rocketlane, among others. Strong command of Google Suite products.
