RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Houston, TX that is seeking a detail-oriented and organized IT Asset Coordinator to manage the lifecycle of IT hardware assets. This role is essential in ensuring accurate inventory tracking, efficient deployment, and proper handling of IT equipment across the organization.
Responsibilities:
IT Asset Coordinator will receive, inspect, and log incoming IT equipment, including laptops, monitors, and peripherals Maintain up-to-date and accurate asset records using inventory management tools Organize and oversee the IT stockroom, ensuring all items are properly labeled, stored, and secured Prepare and stage hardware for deployment to employees and new hires Manage the return, replacement, and retirement of IT assets As an IT Asset Coordinator, you will support inventory audits and reconcile physical stock with system records Collaborate with IT teams to fulfill hardware requests and coordinate deployments Ensure compliant disposal or recycling of outdated or damaged equipment Monitor hardware lifecycle and identify assets due for replacement Adhere to company policies, procedures, and licensing requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma/GED or equivalent; Associate degree or relevant certification preferred 1-2 years of experience in IT asset management, inventory control, or related fields Working knowledge of IT hardware (e.g., laptops, desktops, docking stations, accessories) Proficiency with inventory systems such as ServiceNow, Excel, or similar tools Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Self-motivated with clear and effective communication skills Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
Preferred:
Experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics operations Familiarity with ITIL practices or IT asset lifecycle management
Working Conditions:
Primarily based in a stockroom or warehouse setting Requires standing for extended periods and handling physical inventory Occasional travel to other sites for audits or asset transfers
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
