Overview
The Credentials Coordinator assists with the implementation of the Advanced Practice Professionals credentialing and privileging process to assure a skilled and competent workforce. The Coordinator assists to assure proper credentials verification for reappointment of all Advanced Practice Professionals. The Professional Practice provides oversight for the Credentialing Coordinator, who is directly supervised by the Advanced Practicing Credentialing Manager. Coordinates and monitors the comprehensive credentialing and privileging program for Advanced Practice Professionals. Implements and monitors systems and processes to assure continuous compliance with regulatory and accrediting bodies. Participates in process improvement activities related to Advanced Practice Professionals and nursing licensure. Qualifications
Associate's Degree Preferred and 1-2 years experience related work experience in medical staff credentialing with demonstrated ability in handling responsibilities with minimal supervision. HS diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years experience related work experience in medical staff credentialing with demonstrated ability in handling responsibilities with minimal supervision. Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) Both of these credentials are issued by the National Association Medical Staff Services Preferred Benefits at Children's Mercy
