Global Financial Controller
to join their team in
New York, NY or Philadelphia, PA . This strategic, hands-on finance leader will scale and optimize the company's worldwide financial operations across receivables, payables, billing, treasury, and technical accounting to support growth, compliance, and operational excellence. What You'll Do as the Global Financial Controller: Lead & own key finance operations globally: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Billing, and Treasury, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. Build and refine end to end "order to cash" and "procure to pay" processes to drive efficiency and scalability. Set, track, and improve operational KPIs across AR, AP, and cash management; identify and drive working capital improvements. Oversee a global managed services team responsible for transactional finance tasks across multiple regions; define SLAs, performance metrics, and robust controls. Ensure compliance with US GAAP and/or IFRS, local statutory accounting rules; manage internal controls, support audits, and lead technical accounting topic ownership (e.g. new standards, acquisition integrations). Collaborate closely with cross functional teams: FP&A, Tax, Legal, IT and others - aligning operational finance to corporate strategy, system upgrades, and any M&A activities. Drive automation and system enhancements: optimize ERP / billing / treasury platforms to reduce manual work, improve data reliability, and speed up reporting. Must Haves as the Global Financial Controller: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent required. At least 10 years of progressively responsible financial leadership; minimum 5 years managing global finance operations in a company of scale (or fast growth). Deep experience in AR, AP, Billing, Treasury in multi entity, multi currency settings. Strong technical accounting knowledge: US GAAP, IFRS, internal controls (e.g. SOX), experience with audits, policy implementation, and handling complex accounting issues. Proven success leading and scaling global managed services or transactional finance oriented teams. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Able to work across functions and geographies. Proficiency with major ERP systems (Oracle, NetSuite, SAP or similar) and financial automation / reporting tools. Comfortable operating in dynamic, fast paced, growth or transformation environments (fintech, payments, or technology preferred). Nice to Haves: Prior experience in payments, fintech, or software subscription / SaaS businesses. Experience integrating acquisitions or working through large system transitions. Exposure to international regulatory, statutory, or tax environments. Hands on experience with process improvement / Lean / Six Sigma / continuous improvement methodologies. Advanced degree (e.g. MSc, MBA) or other certifications beyond CPA (e.g. CMA, CIMA).
