is seeking a DevOps Engineer with a TS/SCI clearance to support KITS and our government customer in Falls Church, VA.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

Design, build, test, and deploy end-to-end solutions for highly scalable and resilient cloud-based applications across public and private cloud environments.

Demonstrate versatility in multiple front-end and back-end technologies, ensuring seamless integration and performance.

Adopt and enforce DevSecOps best practices (including automation, tooling, and the OWASP Top 10), embedding security into all stages of the development lifecycle.

Solve infrastructure challenges with code, mastering the automation of computer capacity and performance optimization in fast-paced environments.

Assist project teams in addressing cloud environment issues related to performance, configuration, or security.

Deliver full systems engineering services to customers, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and documentation.

Provide support for the migration of applications to modern cloud environments, including design analysis, preparatory planning, and execution.

Develop, deploy, and maintain solutions using Git, Linux, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Redis Cache, Key Vault, storage solutions, and PostgreSQL.

Write and maintain Python Flask and other language-based services; contribute to RESTful API development and integration.

Analyze customer business needs and translate them into secure, technical requirements aligned with DoD cybersecurity policies and frameworks.

Review, draft, and update the technical sections of cybersecurity documentation, technical user guides, and system support documents.

Lead design and development activities while providing technical leadership for integrating requirements, designs, and technologies into production-ready solutions.

Work within Agile-Scrum development environments, contributing to sprints, backlog refinement, and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) activities.

Ensure compliance with DoD 8140, DoD 8570, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) when designing, deploying, and securing solutions.

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).

3+ years experience in software development and DevOps engineering, with focus on secure cloud-based environments.

4+ years experience deploying applications to AWS, Azure, or other DoD-approved cloud environments, leveraging best practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Knowledge & Skills:

Proficiency with Python, JavaScript, Java, .NET, and RESTful API development.

Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Kubectl, and container orchestration at scale.

Strong database administration experience with PostgreSQL (or equivalent).

Skilled in Terraform and/or Ansible for automation and configuration management.

Linux/Unix administration expertise (RedHat or CentOS preferred) with strong bash scripting experience.

Experience with DoD Cybersecurity policies and secure system implementation.

Strong background in logging, monitoring, and alerting systems for production environments.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum project management methodologies.

Demonstrated ability to solve complex infrastructure and cloud challenges through automation and innovative DevOps practices.

Powerful analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop novel, creative solutions.

Passion for continuous learning in DevOps and cloud technologies, staying ahead of industry and DoD practices.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work independently or as part of a team, managing projects from conception through completion.

Exhibits integrity, leadership courage, and critical thinking in high-demand mission environments.

Highly motivated professional, able to manage competing priorities in dynamic environments.

Security Clearance requirement:

Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current/active TS/SCI.
