Job Title: Medical Assistant - Florham ParkJob Description
Join our team as a Medical Assistant in a dynamic Pain Management practice. You will play a crucial role in providing exceptional back-office support and patient care, working closely with the provider to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service.
Responsibilities
Perform patient intakes and manage room loading.
Room patients and assist the provider in patient care.
Assist the provider with setting up and breaking down office procedures.
Take manual blood pressure readings.
Update inboxes for the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Scan and update documents for EMR.
Sterilize instruments and update charts for medication.
Restock rooms and supply closets, and complete inventory tasks.
Triage phones for physician or patient questions.
Update patient records and input orders into Athena EMR.
Essential Skills
At least 6 months of experience in medical assisting and patient care.
Experience with EMR systems, preferably Athena or Epic.
High school diploma or GED.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred but not required.
Experience in Pain Management or Orthopedics is a plus.
High volume experience with Athena or Epic.
Proactive, outgoing, able to multitask, and a problem solver.
Strong customer service and bedside skills.
Work Environment
Work in a fast-paced outpatient setting, Monday to Friday with varying shift hours. The doctor performs procedures on Monday afternoons, resulting in a shorter day. Expect to manage a patient flow of 20-25 patients daily, with 10-15 patients on Mondays. The role consists of 50% hands-on patient care and 50% administrative tasks. Additionally, you will be required to work six Saturdays a year (8 am - 12 pm), with notice provided in advance.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
