Do you have personal or professional experience within or in support of programs serving youth and families and/or the child welfare system? If this sounds like a good fit to you, we are seeking applicants to help our family locate team asCase Aide located at ourTwin Fallsfield office. The family locate team plays a pivotal role in assisting regions by identifying viable kin or fictive kin for children in foster care. They piece together children's backgrounds, including extended family and friends, and efficiently gather relevant names and contact information. These positions engage directly with identified kin to assess their interest in becoming caregivers or supporting youth in foster care, ensuring this vital information is conveyed back to the case management teams. The family locate team also assists field workers by calling foster parents when children need a placement. They provide critical information about the needs of children in foster care to prospective foster placements to determine if the home is a good fit for the children’s needs.

IMPORTANT: Incumbents will be required to participate in the Child Welfare Academy to learn Idaho child welfare practices and standards and complete Child Welfare Academy assignments. *Some travel will be required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. Please make sure your resume or work history supports your meeting the minimum qualifications for this position. Failure to do this may disqualify you from being considered for this position. It is highly recommended to attach a one-page cover letter to your application to demonstrate how you meet the requirements below.

Good knowledge of human services principles and practices including behavioral management methods, social and family systems, cognitive behavioral education and case management methods. Typically gained by a certification as a psychosocial rehabilitation specialist in accordance with USPRA requirements OR bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, behavioral science, special education, psychosocial rehabilitation, healthcare, criminal justice or related field from a nationally accredited university or college OR 2-4 upper division courses as stated above AND 2-4 years’ work experience OR experience that represents the knowledge level above.

Computer literacy for data entry, electronic mail, composing reports and letters, and storing and retrieving documents.

Valid driver's license.
